This project is a refurbishment of a two-year old elevated, integrally-colored, backyard concrete terrace that was sealed improperly. We began by testing several different chemical strippers (photo above right).
|After successfully stripping the sealer (above left), we also removed the joint sealant from the saw-cuts, and then began to re-seal the terrace with a high quality, solvent-based acrylic sealer (above right).|
|We then re-filled the saw-cuts with a custom-colored, high quality, weather-resistant, polyurea joint sealant (above left), and then shaved off the excess with a 4" floor scraper. See the finished patio (above right and below).|
