Byrne Residence

This is an acid-stained basement concrete floor of a home in Ferndale, Michigan. The homeowners were in the process of finishing the basement and wanted brown acid stain with black highlighting, or accenting.

We used a brown acid stain from Brickform, called Mission Brown, for the base coat, and then Onyx, a black acid stain from Artcrete, for the accenting.

Once the excess stain residue was rinsed from the floor, we sealed it with Decopoxy, a water-based epoxy sealer from Brickform. The sealer goes down white, then clears up as it dries.
