Finished Basement Concrete Floor After Cleaning And Before Acid-Staining
Acid-Stained Basement Concrete Floor With Colored Border And Saw-Cutting

This project is the family room of a 2,300 square foot residential finished basement.  The concrete floor was acid-stained after saw-cutting a 14" interior border around the perimeter of the room, an accent border in front of the fireplace, and 4' square diagonal tiles in the room interior.  The photo above right shows the floor before applying the clear sealer.

Scofield Lithochrome Chemstain "Weathered Bronze" was used for the interior green border.  QC Products Patina "Adobe" was used for the red fireplace border; and Decosup Chemtone "Aged Leather" was used for the interior body of the floor.  We applied three coats of clear acrylic sealer to deepen the coloring and add a gloss finish.
