Finished Basement New Concrete Floor After Cleaning And Before Acid-Staining
Finished Basement Acid-Stained Concrete Floor With Clear Gloss Sealer

This project is a finished basement acid-stained concrete floor with saw-cut 3.5-foot-square diagonal tile pattern.  We used Decosup Chemtone "Bronze", a green color with brown highlights and were able to achieve a fantastic marbling effect on the concrete.  The floor is in a renovated home in a north neighborhood of Chicago.

We sealed the acid-stained concrete with a solvent-based clear acrylic sealer and water-based gloss floor finish.  The homeowner was particularly pleased that we were able to take the decorative saw-cuts right up to the wall, using special concrete engraving tools from Engrave-A-Crete.  This is something usually not possible once the framing and walls have been installed.
