McLeod Residence

This is an acid-stained basement concrete floor of a home in St. Clair Township, Michigan. The homeowners were in the process of renovating the basement after a flood, and wanted dark brown acid stain with black highlighting, or accenting.

It took three weeks to dry the floor enough for staining. We assisted the drying with our industrial dehumidifier from Dri-Eaz. After staining, we used a clear polyurea sealer over the stain to deepen and protect the color.

The owner was kind enough to send us several photos of the floor after furnishing the space.
