We just completed the Meztger/McGuire Academy, on October 24th and 25th, at their new training center in Bow, New Hampshire. 29 of the best contractors and installers from around the U.S. and Canada attended this advanced two-day seminar providing hands on and classroom training in all aspects of concrete repair and joint filling.
In addition to Metzger/McGuire, representatives from some of the leading equipment manufacturers and retailers in the concrete industry, such as U.S. Saws, Diamatic, Jon-Don, and Aramsco, were on hand to provide their expertise.

Concrete repair and joint filling is an important part of almost every decorative concrete flooring project, residential or commercial. If ignored, or not addressed properly, empty joints and saw-cuts, and concrete defects, such as spalling, pitting and cracking, can mar or ruin an otherwise successful and attractive-looking, new decorative concrete floor.
We filled the joints and saw-cuts on this new concrete floor with brown Metzger/McGuire RS 88 polyurea joint filler after cleaning and prior to acid staining.
Filling joints properly, on the other hand, and completing repair methods appropriately, can take a beautiful new decorative concrete floor to the next level by making otherwise noticeable and unattractive elements of an existing concrete floor completely disappear.
Most contractors in the decorative concrete industry today are not trained in joint filling or concrete repair. As such, they avoid this work entirely or complete it with the wrong materials and techniques. The end result is a brand new floor that may look good overall but leave the customer slightly dissatisfied and wondering why they didn't get what they expected.
